Het JCV lustrumjaar is in volle gang
Het lustrumjaar is inmiddels in volle gang en dat is op verschillende manieren te merken binnen de JCV. Met veel enthousiasme kijken we uit naar de komende maanden, waarin er nog verschillende bijzondere momenten op de planning staan. Een daarvan is natuurlijk het Alumni Event op 27 november. We kijken ernaar uit om op deze avond veel oud-leden weer op Nyenrode te mogen verwelkomen, herinneringen op te halen en samen het lustrumjaar te vieren. Zet de datum dus alvast in de agenda! Ook achter de schermen wordt er hard gewerkt aan een ander hoogtepunt van dit jaar. De Galacommissie is volop bezig met de voorbereidingen voor een speciale lustrumeditie van het JCV Gala. Met veel aandacht wordt gewerkt aan een bijzondere avond die past bij deze mijlpaal en waarin we het lustrumjaar samen kunnen vieren.
Naast deze vooruitblik kijken we ook terug op een geslaagde start van het nieuwe academische jaar. De introductieperiode voor de nieuwe cohorten zit inmiddels achter de rug. Zowel het introductieweekend voor de bachelors als het bootfeest voor de masters waren een groot succes. Tijdens deze evenementen hebben de nieuwe studenten kennisgemaakt met het bestuur, de vereniging en haar tradities. Inmiddels zijn zij officieel onderdeel van de JCV en kunnen zij zich opmaken voor de vele evenementen die nog volgen. Tijdens de komende rassenborrel ontvangen zij bovendien hun officiële JCV-das of -sjaal, een mooie traditie waarmee zij officieel onderdeel worden van de JCV.
Ook de rest van de vereniging is ondertussen volop in beweging. De verschillende commissies zijn druk bezig met de organisatie van nieuwe activiteiten, waaronder verschillende company visits. Een aantal hiervan organiseren we samen met de NCV. Hiermee willen we de banden tussen de twee verenigingen en de locaties verder versterken en ervoor zorgen dat studenten uit Amsterdam en Breukelen elkaar vaker weten te vinden, van elkaar leren en samen nieuwe initiatieven opzetten.
Die verbinding staat ook centraal tijdens het jaarlijkse Tuinfeest in Breukelen, waar we de komende periode weer naar uitkijken. Het evenement is inmiddels niet alleen populair onder de studenten in Breukelen, maar ook steeds meer Amsterdamse studenten kijken ernaar uit om samen richting Breukelen te gaan. Juist dit soort momenten zijn waardevol om de nieuwe cohorten uit Amsterdam en Breukelen met elkaar in contact te brengen en de verbinding tussen de twee locaties verder te versterken.
Zo blijft het lustrumjaar zich ontwikkelen en staat er de komende maanden nog veel moois te gebeuren. We kijken ernaar uit om dit bijzondere jaar samen met onze huidige leden, alumni en de bredere Nyenrode-community te blijven vieren en hopen velen van jullie binnenkort weer te mogen ontmoeten!

The JCV Lustrum Year Continues
The lustrum year is now well underway, and this can be seen throughout the JCV. We are very much looking forward to the coming months, with several special moments still ahead. One of these is, of course, the Alumni Event on the 27th of November. We are looking forward to welcoming many of our former members back to Nyenrode, reconnecting, sharing memories and celebrating the lustrum year together. So be sure to save the date! (see picture)
Behind the scenes, preparations are also well underway for another highlight of the year. Our Gala Committee is working hard on a special lustrum edition of the JCV Gala. A lot of time and attention is going into creating a memorable evening that reflects this special milestone and gives us the opportunity to celebrate the lustrum year together.
Alongside looking ahead, we can also look back on a successful start to the new academic year. The introduction period for the new cohorts has now come to an end. Both the Bachelor Introduction Weekend and the Master Boat Party were a great success. During these events, the new students got to know the board, the association and its traditions. They are now officially part of the JCV and ready to take part in the many events still to come. At the upcoming rassenborrel, they will also receive their official JCV tie or scarf, a special tradition that officially marks their becoming part of the JCV.
Meanwhile, the rest of the association has also been keeping busy. Our various committees are working on a range of new activities, including several company visits. A number of these are being organised together with the NCV. Through these collaborations, we aim to further strengthen the connection between the two associations and their locations, giving students from Amsterdam and Breukelen more opportunities to meet, learn from each other and work on new initiatives together.
This sense of connection is also at the heart of the annual Tuinfeest in Breukelen, which we are looking forward to once again. The event is not only popular among students in Breukelen, but more and more Amsterdam students are also looking forward to making the trip to Breukelen together. Moments like these are valuable opportunities for the new cohorts from Amsterdam and Breukelen to get to know each other and further strengthen the connection between the two locations.
The lustrum year continues to unfold, with many exciting moments still ahead. We look forward to continuing to celebrate this special year together with our current members, alumni and the wider Nyenrode community, and hope to see many of you again soon!
