Verbinden, Ontwikkelen en Presteren: De JCV in Actie
De afgelopen periode stond voor de JCV in het teken van professionele ontwikkeling en het versterken van onderlinge en externe relaties.
Zo kregen masterstudenten tijdens een bedrijfsbezoek aan Turner, een consultancybedrijf waar Nyenrode-alumnus en oud-JCV-bestuurslid Jeroen Sieben werkzaam is, een waardevol inkijkje in het bedrijfsleven. Deze samenwerking werd, na het succes van vorig jaar, opnieuw mogelijk gemaakt door zijn betrokkenheid en bleek wederom zeer geslaagd. De dag bood niet alleen nieuwe inzichten, maar mogelijk ook een eerste oriëntatie op toekomstige carrièremogelijkheden. In het verlengde hiervan kijkt de Business Commissie, die tevens het bedrijfsbezoek heeft georganiseerd, vooruit naar een volgend initiatief: een zogeheten ‘Founder Session’. Tijdens deze sessie zullen naast oprichters ook professionals uit het bedrijfsleven aanwezig zijn om hun ervaringen en inzichten te delen met studenten.
Ook op bestuurlijk vlak werd geïnvesteerd in samenwerking. Tijdens een gezamenlijke borrel met het JCV- en NCV-bestuur in Breukelen stond verbinding centraal, al zorgde de goede sfeer ervoor dat een groepsfoto er niet meer van kwam.
Daarnaast vond een kennismaking plaats met twee bestuursleden van Nyenrode, Micky Adriaanse (voorzitter) en Jolanda Lamse-Minderhoud. In dit gesprek is stilgestaan bij het functioneren van de verschillende verenigingen en locaties, en de rol die de JCV kan spelen in het bevorderen van een hechte, betrokken en positieve gemeenschap in Amsterdam.
Vooruitblikkend staan er diverse activiteiten op de agenda. De kaartverkoop voor de jaarlijkse rally is inmiddels gestart. Of u nu in een klassieker of een stadsauto rijdt, deelname is voor iedereen mogelijk. Interesse om te sponsoren? Neem vooral contact op, we vertellen graag meer! Aansluitend vindt de eindborrel plaats op Kasteel Nijenrode, waar ook de VCV aanwezig zal zijn na hun rally die op dezelfde dag plaatsvindt.
Op 16 april wordt bovendien het Dies Natalis Boksgala georganiseerd, in samenwerking met NCV en THENEXTGEN. De JCV is vastberaden om ook ditmaal de overwinning binnen te halen en voort te bouwen op het succes van de recente voetbalwedstrijd, waarin de NCV overtuigend werd verslagen. Met een aantal fanatieke leden die de ring betreden, belooft het een energieke en competitieve avond te worden, met de JCV als gedoodverfde winnaar.
Tot slot: de iconische donkerblauwe pakken zijn binnen en dat betekent dat er binnenkort weer prachtige foto’s op de socials verschijnen. Wordt vervolgd!

Connecting, Developing and Performing: JCV in Action
The past period has been characterized for the JCV by professional development and the strengthening of both internal and external relationships.
During a company visit to Turner, a consultancy firm where Nyenrode alumnus and former JCV board member Jeroen Sieben is currently employed, master students gained valuable insight into the world of business. Following the success of last year, this collaboration was once again made possible through his involvement and proved to be highly successful. The day not only provided new perspectives, but may also have served as an initial orientation towards future career opportunities. Building on this, the Business Committee, which also organized the company visit, is already looking ahead to its next initiative: a so-called ‘Founder Session’. During this session, founders as well as professionals from the business world will share their experiences and insights with students.
At the board level as well, efforts were made to strengthen collaboration. During a joint drinks event with the JCV and NCV boards in Breukelen, the focus was on connection, although the fun atmosphere ultimately meant that a group photo never materialized.
In addition, an introduction took place with two members of the Nyenrode board, Micky Adriaanse (Chair) and Jolanda Lamse-Minderhoud. The conversation focused on the functioning of the various associations and locations, and the role the JCV can play in fostering a close-knit, engaged, and positive community in Amsterdam.
Looking ahead, several activities are on the agenda. Ticket sales for the annual rally have already started. Whether you drive a classic car or a city car, everyone is welcome to participate. On April 16, the Dies Natalis Boxing Gala will take place, organized in collaboration with NCV and THENEXTGEN. The JCV is determined to secure victory once again and build on the success of the recent football match, in which NCV was convincingly defeated. With several enthusiastic members stepping into the ring, the evening promises to be energetic and competitive, with the JCV as the clear favourite.
